Oftentimes when there is a roof leak the cause might be the pipe collar or vent stacks. These are the pipes that vent from different areas of your home.

dang… that's exactly the work I'll have to do on my house… of course, we only find this kinda crap on rainny days…. turns out that the section of wood around that collar will have to be replaced as it is all bad…. there goes the weekend….
Thank you this was very helpful, I think i can do this myself now that i saw your video
Very good video! Thanks a bunch for sharing!!
My favorite collar/flange repair video! Thank you!
I have a double layer shingle roof so can you replace just the rubber portion?
excellent, very helpful thanks
This is the old way to do this. Now you can just slide a rubber gasket over the worn rubber piece after caulking. Doesn't make sense replacing the whole thing anymore especially if you will need a replacement roof in the near future.
What caulk is being used?
great helpful video
Like your video. Some videos don't show caulking flange, nails and shingles.
exactly what I needed!
Good video
Great video! Thank you very much!
Thank you for the video
What is the set up he has around his waist? I know someone who was paralyzed from falling off a roof, and another who was killed when he fell off. Can you show us a video on what to do to prevent falls? Thanks
I bet I've paid a roofer 4 times to fix this kind of leak and never has he ever replaced the collar like this. Makes me mad when people charge you over and over to fix something and they do not even suggest replacing the collar like you just did. I am furious now. How do I find reputable roofers in the central AR area??
