  1. Thanks so much for posting this. It's very useful as we need exactly this type of repair. Any thoughts on painting over with bitumen at the end instead of the Fibre Reinforced Acrylic Paint? We have some left over from another project.

  2. Great video again . Unlike the ungratifying remarks below this I think the repair looks a job well done . Again I am picking up lots of helpful stuff .
    Thank you .

  3. Never ever ever repair lead cracks like this haha! There's a word for this and it's called COWBOYS! A crack or split in lead work should be cleaned by a shave hook till the lead is spotless and welded together with a lead rod or patch. That way it's 100% percent waterproof and won't fail again!!

  4. Thanks for this clear explination, but shouldn't allowance be made for future movement of the lead sheet? Perhaps a shallow fold along the length of the crack?

  5. I've listed most of the brands on my website see the link provided in the description bar.
A simple Google search will do the rest for you. When using Acrylic sealant like the one shown remember not to skimp, its not as effective if you go too thin.

  6. Tried to find the list of suppliers/manufacturers as mentioned in the video but couldn't. Especially interested to know where to get the fibre reinforced acrylic paint.
