  1. This stuff works great. I had no access to my roof so I cut a hole in my roof and added a roof hatch. I sealed the hatch exactly the way this video does. it has not leaked for six years so far not even a drop. this stuff works great. I got this from home depot.

  2. I don't know why your videos target only a particular type of roof when your product is specified to repair shingles, concrete, metal or asphalt roofs. you should try and demonstrate the product application in all the types stated on the container of your product because I specifically bought my product for a coloured metal roof.

  3. HI , i like your video  , but i have i idea and i want your adviceI want to isolet my roof with rober , can  i buy some rober to the mesure of my roof ? , is this  a  good idea?

  4. We have a flat deck with a slope under our 2nd story deck that is leaking. Will this stuff stick to Betchethene? (Don't know if that's spelled right. It's like black rubber that had an adhesive backing when it was applied).

  5. What this schmuck should of advised is either wait until it is dry or sweep as much water away as possible because I can assure you it will not last if applied underwater.

  6. This stuff looks great. So If there if i don't know exactly where the leak is I can basically use this stuff at where the sheets meet and/or even at the edges? Right? Ive got a flat roof and a leak into a hand made shed with no slope so water stays on top. I dont know where the leak is so im planning on just sealing all at where all the sheets end.

  7. I use Karnak 19 Ultra Rubberized Flashing on a daily base ( Per my bose ) And I can tell you that this product does NOT work on any wet surface at all !!! It MUST be applied to a 100% cleaned/dried/prepped out roof area POINT BLANK ! And if you don't believe me just READ the side of the can !

  8. Here's a serious tip for all type roofs where underwater repairs are needed , sweep away any lose gravel , next pour a circle of masons mortar around the repair area , the mortar will create & watertight dam & you can " bail " out all water from the leak area , spud & dry the area , 5 course the split/puncture in a 100% clean & dry environment , after finished you shovel up the mortar into a garbage bag , or come back when it's dry & pick up the cured mortar & toss in garbage , the mortar trick will work when water is a foot deep , I've done it many times .

Oh btw Karnak makes good products , I remember back when they used to tape quarters on the underside of each bucket lid , probably before most roofers time but it was a sales technique that made roofers want to open a new pail of mastic constantly , that would of been in the late 70's & early 80's era .

  9. I've bought several tubes of this product. On the side it says do not use with EPDM or PVC (and I think one other thing). I would like to know why I can't use it with those things and how I would recognize them. What's the worst that can happen? What do I use with EPDM or PVC?

Also, I would have asked this question on your website but there is no e-mail contact form or information there. I don't want to call and wait I'd rather just send a question in five seconds via e-mail and then get a reply some time later. So I think you should allow people to contact you via e-mail.

  10. Here is what your website says about using Karnak 19 Ultra  "All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from oil, grease, dust, dirt, loose paint or other foreign matter. Excess water should be removed, if possible, before application of #19 Ultra."

  11. Yeah sorry guy, long time roofer here.  This DOES NOT PERMINATLY FIX THE LEAK.  Once rubber cemented, you can now only fix it with more rubber cement.  That wall should have been patched with more modified.  This stuff is great if you can't afford to have it fixed right, don't get me wrong, but if you want your problem fixed for more than a few years at a time, call a roofer, there are no short cuts.
